Well done to Orla and Keeva Stott who represented Area 5 (Minimums girls) at the National Winter Triathlon Championships at Milton Keynes this weekend (17 March), competition was very tough but both girls managed new PB’s in both the swim and run disciplines to finish 16th and 35th respectively, a great achievement.


Musical Ride

The Musical Ride – Sunday 17th of August at the Pony Club Championships at Cholmondeley Park.

I am putting together a musical ride called “The Chasing Cheshire’s”, the ride will be 6 mins long and each rider needs to be able to ride all three paces in order/or a pair. There will be 6 practices at Cholmondeley during the summer term.  

There will be a cost involved for the instructor, fancy dress costumes (which we will have to make), the entry and making of the music, etc (final figure not yet confirmed).

The next 16+ Training for ALL of Area 5 is at Point House Farm, Ferry Lane, Chester, CH1 6QF, with Pip Higgins Monday,14th April 2014 from 10am.

We have a Test Riding Day on grass (weather permitting) in preparation for the Event season.

Members can ride any PC test.

They will warm up, ride the test for the judge, have an improvement session with the judge then ride the test again......perfectly!

Winter League success all around!

Saturday saw the final competition in the Winter League series taking place at Somerford and what a successful day it was!

The Class 1 league team of Lucy Exley, Alice Ford, Camilla Broster & Lily McCormack were placed 1st with all members of the team gaining individual places, Alice (1st), Camilla (4th), Lucy (5th) and Lily (6th).  The non League team of Lucy, Camilla & Bea Hammond were placed 6th.

The Team came 2nd in the overall league.

The Class 2 league team of Lucy Ford, Toby Mitchell McCain, Elizabeth Parton & Kate Samuel came 2nd. Lucy was 2nd individually and Toby, 6th.

The team came 2nd in the overall league.

The Class 3 league team of Martha Newall, Fleur Garside, Rosie Miller & Jessica Smith were 1st with individuals to Martha (1st), Fleur (2nd).   The non League team, Amy Ford, Anna Holden, Jennifer Parton & Lucy Lanni were 2nd with Jennifer individually (6th).

The Team won the league outright with a spectacular 18 point margin!

The season has been a great success with many CHS members competing.  A special thank you to Sarah Ford for organising & coordinating all the competitions and teams and to Jane Newall for organising all the mid week rallies and of course all the parents who have driven miles to the various events over the winter.
