To celebrate their 10 year relationship with the Pony Club the Blue Cross have launched a welfare based competition for Pony Club members.  You can find the details on the attachment or via the following link.

As the Blue Cross have been so supportive of the H&P Care competition it would be nice if we could give this a little push for them.

Four members from CHS travelled to Milton Keynes to compete in the NFU winter Triathlon finals representing Area 5 of the PC.  Freddie Ashworth, Harrison Aspinall, Beatrice Taylor and Neisha Roberts from F&D came 4th on 9675 points out of 54 Area teams, missing out on 3rd place by 25 points!

Rufus Taylor from CHS also competed with a PB in the shoot but with two poorly boys in their team, they only managed 41st - better luck next year!
Harrison performed superbly in all three phases, with best minimus boys swim and a PB in the 1000m run to come 1st overall out of 49 boys!

Beatrice achieved a PB in the 1000m run, finishing 20th overall out of 47 minimus girls.
Freddie achieved joint best run in the junior boy category, 1500m in 4m 55secs to finish 3rd overall, missing 2nd place by 7 marks!

Freddie has been invited to represent Area 5 as part of a mixed Junior Wales
and Borders Regional team to compete in the Pony Club Tetrathlon at Windsor
Horse Show on 13th to 15th May.  One person from Area 5, one from Area 18
and one from Area 10 make up the Wales and Borders team, there have to be
either two girls and one boy or two boys and one girl.  The Wales and
Borders team will be competing against 6 other Regions including Ireland.
The riding phase takes part in one of the main rings at Windsor, so a show
jumping round, but there is still a slip rail and gate to negotiate.

The run is around Windsor Great Park and the shoot in a marquee.  This year will
be extra special  as The Queen and Members of the Royal Family will attend a
pageant celebrating The Queen's life to be held at Home Park in Windsor
Castle, as part of her 90th birthday celebrations.

Freddie will then go on (hopefully)  to the Junior Regional Championships on
2nd to 5th June as part of the Boys Wales and Borders team.   Three of the
Wales and  Borders boys came 2nd, 3rd and 5th out of 52 yesterday at the
NFU Triathlon Champs so should have a good chance at the Regional Championships
which would be a complete highlight for Freddie.  The Irish always send over
very strong teams so we will have to wait and see.

There is then the Area competition for the Nationals and then the Nationals
themselves in August which Freddie will hopefully get to to finish off a
busy year in Tetrathlon.

Well done to all who competed and for your effort and hard work.
